Gaia Giant Demi Sphere Stud Earrings
A 35mm demi sphere of hand-turned wood on a sterling silver pin and scroll. The flat face sits flush against the ear; the sphere faces forward, round and warm. No movement, no swing. Just the wood, close to the face, at scale.
The stud is usually the quieter choice. At 35mm it isn’t.
Designer's Note
‘The demi sphere stud is deceptively simple. There is nothing else here — no drop, no wire, no secondary element. Just the wood against the face. At this size that’s enough. More than enough.’
Claire de Bezenac
925 sterling silver, hallmarked at the Birmingham Assay Office. Not plate. Real silver, with the weight and permanence that implies.
The spheres are hand-turned in the UK from solid hardwood, each one finished with carnauba wax which is a natural, vegan-friendly wax that brings out the grain without artifice.
Available in bubinga (deep red-brown, dramatically grained), walnut (dark and cool-toned), or sycamore (pale, close-grained). Because every piece of wood is different, no two Gaia spheres are identical. Colours available vary by piece.
All orders are dispatched via Royal Mail Tracked and Signed or DHL. Free UK delivery on orders over £100. International flat rates are calculated at checkout based on weight and destination. Please allow 2 to 4 working days for in-stock pieces, or 3 to 4 weeks where a piece needs to be made.
International orders may be subject to import duties on arrival. EU customers, we're happy to advise before you order. Write to us.
We offer a 28-day return window on all pieces in their original, unworn condition. Write to us at hello@mysilverwood.co with your order number and we'll take care of it.
Your Silverwood piece is made to be worn for years.

The Craft
Every Silverwood piece begins as two separate things: sterling silver and wood. And becomes something neither could be alone. The making is precise and unhurried, carried out by the skilled craftsmen and jewellers I work with here in England. There is nothing accidental in the finished piece.
Frequent Questions
Feel free to contact us if there is anything else you'd like to ask about
Yes. All Silverwood pieces are hallmarked at the Birmingham Assay Office as required by UK law. The hallmark is your assurance of the metal's quality and authenticity.
Bring your fingers together and tuck your thumb toward your little finger, as if sliding a bangle over your hand. Then measure the widest point. Divide that measurement by 3.14 for the inner diameter needed, and add half a centimetre for comfort. If you're unsure, write to us. We'll help you get it right. For a bracelet, simply measure your wrist.
Pieces in stock are dispatched within 2–4 working days. Made-to-order pieces typically take 3–4 weeks. If you have a deadline, write to us before ordering and we'll tell you exactly where things stand.
For hygiene reasons we're unable to accept returns on earrings unless the piece is faulty. If something isn't right, please write to us within 48 hours of receiving your order and we'll sort it out.
